World Town Planning Day

World Town Planning Day (WTPD) is on November 8 of each year and highlights contributions community and regional planning make towards improving the quality of life in our communities.  This event serves as a reminder to our future generations the importance of community and our need to promote educational awareness in order to better comprehend the future impacts community planning and regional development will have on our environment.  This comprehension can be realized through festive activities such as holding an evening forum whereby local professional planners share their experiences with the public, by promoting the positive effects planning can have on our community, or by sponsoring learning activities for children and youth in the field of planning.  To celebrate WTPD, there are a number of resources available at www.cip-icu.ca/English/home.htm.
